The legal framework that applies

TikTok operates under DSA and P2B rules in the EU, meaning the same legal frameworks apply. TikTok must provide a statement of reasons for any account ban under DSA Article 17, must operate a transparent complaint-handling system under Article 20, and must allow escalation to certified dispute resolvers (ACE). For business users, P2B Article 4 applies, requiring specific notice and grounds for any restriction. Use TikTok's privacy settings to request your data download (Settings > Account > Data Download). Simultaneously, send a formal email to TikTok legal demanding a detailed explanation of the ban within 14 days. Document everything.
